[partition] Simplify code

Browse Source 
- isEfi only used meaningfully once
- if (isEfi) followed by if (!isEfi) can be simpler
- create bios-but-not-GPT strings in one go
- mark TODO that this should warn only if needed
- use weird * notation for branding-strings
